MRS Streamline
The packraft’s performance is mainly determined by the design of the hull, the part that displaces water. The most affordable boats have the simplest hulls: a uniform-diameter tube attached to the floor, creating a “bathtub boat”.
Packrafts of the MRS Streamline lineup, however, feature a completely redesigned and more sophisticated hull shape.
The high-volume stern, for example, creates buoyancy to counter the paddler’s weight, pushing the boat’s center of gravity forward.
Furthermore, the bow design has been optimized into a sharper and less rocked shape to improve gliding performance on flat water and cut through waves in whitewater more effectively.
To further decrease water resistance, the floor is completely flat getting rid off the two bumps on bow and stern of classical packrafts that are causing significant drag.
